Hi all

Just been "donated " a Beovision 3 from somebody visiting my base, and for the life of me cannot get my TV to recognise the PS3.

Have connected via "av" scart socket to the coloured component cable on the PS3. Have changed the screen resolution on the PS3 to component scart.

Have I connected it to the correct port ie AV? What should I have on the Beo4. I read "camera" so have added that. Any more ideas appreciated.

Ok got that working now. Apart from the component to scart connector, is there a better way of improving the image from a PS3 dies anyone know?

Hi Chris,

the beovision gives an excellent picture in SD but no HD picture could be presented.

If the PS3 emits component signal at it's connector the BV3 can not display a good picture. You have to set the PS3  to S-Video or Combined Video (FBAS). S-Video would give you the  best quality but even combined Video should be quite acceptable because of the fantastic image processing of the BV3. Keep in Mind that the BV3 uses the same chassis as the later Avant RF.

You need an adaptor from S-Video and Audio to SCART for this purpose at the BV3 or you use the front connector (lower left side of the screen just between the fret and the frame of the TV.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, yes I have plugged the 3 coloured connectors to the port for camera use and that is a bit better. It's only for watching SD Netflix for a 7 year olds birthday.

An indulgence I could only dream of as a kid but as it was effectively free, and came with a remote and stand.....
