Hi there,

I was wondering if someone could help me out. I have a beautiful Beocenter 7700, however the speakers are missing. I have purchased a pair of Sony speakers to use for now (until I can afford some really good ones). All they have at the back of them are wires with no connectors. Could someone tell me what type of connectors I will need to purchase in order to hook them up to the system? Thanks so much!

Welcome to Beoworld !

Those plugs/connectors are not as unusual as you may think.

The 2-pin speaker DIN connectors are the only speaker plug/socket standard (industrial norm) for home HiFi worldwide
so, naturally, B&O uses these.
I am amazed how many people find these plugs strange and/or think they are "proprietary" when, in fact, it's
everything else that's non-standard.

The plugs come in several different qualities, both for screw-mount and for soldering.
I personally like the Deltron metal type (but it requires soldering).

An Ebay search brings up many:

Please help me understand that the only way I will be able to get sound from my Beocenter 7700 is with those pins?

There are 4 ways to get sound out of your BeoCenter 7700:

1. The 2-pin DIN speaker sockets (two pairs of speakers)

2. The 1/4 inch jack headphone socket

3. The TAPE 2 RCA jacks

4. The LINE DIN socket

The one you use depends on what you want to do with it.
