Please could anyone assist me.

I have recently acquired a Beosound 9000 Mk1, i set everything up but unbeknown to myself. The machine was purchased outside the UK and has a power supply of 120V.

I connected my 240V from my Beosound 3000 and smelt a slight burning i believe now i have overloaded the power. I am currently in contact with the buyer can anyone recommend a cheap and cost effective way of remedying this issue.

Many thanks

Nigel

I'm afraid your BS9000 needs to see a "doctor", as a burning smell is never good.

Older equipment specified for 120v usually got fried at 240v. It's not like today where most new electronics are made to be used within 120-240v.

Too long to list....

I hope the damage remained limited to the power supply. Parts for the Mk I are hard to come by.
