Hello all!
Some of you might remember a thread in the old-forum about a deal between Beoworlders that went wrong and left bitterness. So I thought I will give you an example of the opposite: A pleasing deal with an well known fellow Beoworlder: Leslie
I will add a few pictures but as I am not a computer pro I will have to make an post for each picture... sorry.
But first things first: For a certain time I had a two-way BC2300 on my wish list and as my BC9500 will soon need a complete service it was the perfect occasion to get myself the two-way BC2300.I knew from a few threads that Leslie seems to have an extensive collection and so I gave it a shot and asked him if he has an unit in stock that he would sell. After a few mails we has an agreement and the Center went on its way to Vienna.
After a few days the Center arrived and after unpacking it I had a absolute beautifull and cosmetically mint BC2300 in my hands. Unfortunately something must have gone wrong during transport as the Center had an electronic DOA (all lights on and no reaction to anything). After it was clear that there is no simple fix (like an reset) Leslie immediately offered to exchange the faulty unit for another one. So a second Center arrived and the first one went back.
Now in the next posts a few pics of the second, now my "new" two-way BC2300...
"The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers."
William Shakespeare, Henry VI, Part 2, Act 4
First: The Box... an almost bomb proof packing:
After opening it: surprise! another box...
and then finally the Center, wrapped to protect it even more.... Leslie didn't exagerated when he said that Center will be very well packed!
I couldn't wait to test it, so I installed it. The Center works perfectly and I enjoyed my new toy Here you can see it in front of my BC9500 (sorry for the fingerprints on the glass... I didn't clean the doors after unpacking the Center for a first test):
and here the final setup
The result: A very happy Foxtrott who enjoys the sound coming through the Pentas and using the two-way capabilitys with my Beolink7000.
I have to give a big thank you to Leslie who has been very helpfull, obliging and gentlemenlike throughout the whole deal. He is one the many valuable Beoworlders who gives his best to help other Beoworlders. If you are looking for an B&O items don't hesitate to ask him... he might have it in his collection.
Not the only Beoworlder who sells second life B&O, but one I can recommend.
Just wanted to share my experience and the joy of new "B&O toy" with you all.
Cheers!
Foxtrott
I can only say good things to the fellow beoworlders I have have dealt with on here also, so the spirit of beoworld lives on!
Good on you Leslie!
Yep, and very helpful as well even with unavailable spares...
He found a glass panel for my BC9500 where I broke the original due to my own stupidity
And it was already equipped with the neccessary glue tape.
Still didnt dare to attach it - have to do that when I'm in the mood (and well rested...)

Thank you dear Beoworlders, it's just a matter of doing honest business and again I'm not a reseller but an owner of to much B&O who enjoys refurbing this stuff. Will show you more of my hobby later....
Btw, the DOA BC2300 has been repaired by my good friend and member ipaul and wonderfull support of Blackrix
