Can anyone tell me what cartridge I will need for this old 60's / 70's radiogram. It has a B & O turntable but I can not find the model number for the TT. I have been advised that the SP series was used but there seems to be a lot of SP cartridges around.

The turntable section is likely a Beogram 1000, which used the SP-6 and SP-7.

Vinyl records, cassettes, open reel, valve amplifiers and film photography.

Many thanks Soren, would you mind if I sent a photo of the TT to confirm the model

It could be a Garrard as well, and not a B&O turntable at all (or one of the earlier Beograms). A picture would be helpful, as well as generally nice to look at Smile

By all means post a pic or two here!

Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.

His image - definitely a Beogram 1000

Vinyl records, cassettes, open reel, valve amplifiers and film photography.

If I remember rightly (it was 40 years ago) my Beogram 1000 used an SP 14 cartridge. These are far more easily found than SP6/7s.
