Okay, I have a pair of Beolab Penta active loudspeakers. My left is Penta 1 and my right is Penta 2. And I believe that the sound are not in balance when i set the balance settings to 0. They are both plugged into my Beomaster 4500 via the 4 pin speaker link. And the input level on both of the speakers is set in the middle.
I think the my left speaker, the Penta 1:s volume is a bit higher. Is this normal due to that they have different amplifiers and how much shall I change the balance settings on the stereo?
These amps are effectively identical apart from input options so they should have the same output. Have you tried playing with the switches (sensitivity / bass setting) in the control panels of the speakers?

Yeah, I've set the bass switches in the middle on both of them and the power mode is set to auto. As for the volume, the button that is labeled sensitivity on Penta 1 and Input Level on the Penta 2 seems to control the volume. That button has three levels. When I have that button in the middle on both Penta 1 and Penta 2, the Penta 1:s volume is higher. Right now I run the button in the middle on Penta 1 and on the highest level on Penta 2 and now the balance is better.
I've tried that... No difference, the Penta 1 still sound a bit higher...
Are all the drivers fully operational?
I think so.
I think so is not good enough :) The section of the crossover supplying the mids on my units had got so hot that a resistor had decided to unsolder itself - almost perfectly! To be fair it was more a case of not sounding right though...@Beopaul I should imagine if bias was far enough out to effect the sound to an audible level then the speakers would be cutting out?
I would look at some of the electros for high impedance next...?
