Hi Everybody

anyone experience or ideas, how to integrate the loxone (loxone.com) smarthome solution into beolink e.g. MasterLink GateWay?

regards

No experience with Loxone, sorry. It won`t work with the MLGW directly, but I read, that Loxone server can act as an KNX/EIB gateway.

KNX/EIB works great with Beo`s Masterlink Gateway. See the MLGW documentation....

Hope this helps.

Stefan is right. You can use dummy group adresses. Define them in Loxone as usual and react in Masterlink Gateway. I have it done like this. It is working very well.

Hi Frank,

as a non-professional it would be a great help getting a example for starting up the loxone-mlgw-communication.

Could you show just one example of your config, maybe like start playing Beosound Moment within a scene!?

Many thanks,

Markus

Hi Markus,

may I can help you with an example of a MLGW config.

My MLGW is connected to KNX and my good old miniserver was part of the KNX-Network for a long time. He worked very well there but is not in use anymore.

So, if you set up a KNX Group-Adress in Loxone (which is all you need to start your BeoSound Moment), I can describe the MLGW config you need. Here a short summary of  tasks:

1. Define a new KNX/EIB Device (Devices -> KNX/EIB -> "KNXnet/IP tunneling", IP = Miniserver IP, Port = 3671)

2. Set up the Group-Address you defined in the miniserver in the new KNX/EIB Device and choose the right data-type.

3. Create a new Macro, choose KNX/EIB as triggering event, choose the Group-Address you set up before and the value to match. So if you have a 1 Bit KNX-Address, choose "1" for Start Playing.

4. Now you only have to define the Execute-Command(s) to start the BeoSound in the same Macro. If you use the Beo4, it could be a BeoLink-Driver with the Beo4 command "Radio" in the dedicated Linkroom (Product).

That's it.

To shut off the BeoSound, repeat steps 3 and 4. In step choose "0" instead of "1", in step 4 choose "Standby" instead of "Radio".

Controlling the volume of your BeoSound may needs one or two steps more to setup in MLGW but is also no rocket science at all.

I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, screenshots, whatever, let me know!

Good luck! Norman

Hi Norman,

many thanks for your help!

To setup a group-adress i have to involve my knx-expert for ets-programming...

Screenshots of one example (mlgw-macro and loxone-config) would be great!

Best regards

Markus

Hello Markus,

I hope you understand my writing, because English isn't my best language.

Just started with Loxone and the BLGW.
Loxone doesn't support B&O but it can work.

I have only Loxone, no KNX, and connected the BLGW with Loxone server by my router.

In the Loxone config i created sensors and pleaced them on the trigers for the lamps to switch them on and off. I didn't use the KNX stones!! they didn't worked by me. I'm still working ond the lights you can dimm. They wont get full on by a single press on the button. They only go on with the dimm function.
The sensors gives a group adress wich you can change. I gave every room another starting number so it is easier to find.
Load it in to your Loxone

In the BLGW config under Tab Systems by KNX/EIB by host use the IP of the Loxone Server and port 3671

under Tab Resources choose your zone (house/livingroom) give the name for your button in the BEOLink app, the type off button and than the group adress. No restart of loading is needed.

Start your BEOLink app, log in and you can turn your lights on and off.

You can even make scenes in the app, so when you press BIOSCOOP your lights dimm, tv goes on.

Good luck

Hello Alexander,

thanks for your advice.

Well, your English is not as bad as mine, sounds a bit like a german guy (like me)...

What ever, first success was to force beolab (by mlgw) playing music by knx button.

But without havin the choice of special playlists or own flow (Deezer) it makes no sense, you better take your smartphone or iPad!

Best regards,

Markus
