My beomaster 6000 has low volume white noise coming out the speakers the left channel is noticeably worse than the right. I've tested both speakers on both channels and it appears to be the amp rather than speakers.
It's quite hard to describe as it's not noticeable when I play music and it's also quite a faint sound (you have to be reasonably close to the speaker) but I'm just wondering what it is or if anybody has had a similar issue as it doesn't seem right and has been more noticeable lately?

I don't know if it could help you as I am not an expert in this forum but I had the same problem with my BM 8000. I can't precisely say you were doesit come from because mine had a lot of problems.
But, in priority, I will check if your amp doesn't suffer from overheating (Itdestroyed a lot of things in my BM8000), then, the outpout trimmers and after that, capacitors (MArtin in this forum sells very good cap kit).
My BM 8000 is still in service and willcome back (perfectly workingI hope in 2 weeks...). If you can't repair ityourself, you can probably find someone that can do it ;)
I hope you will find a solution and be carefull, if it doesn't work well, you will better not use it because it can destroy a lot of things....

Likely one of the small signal transistors in the early amp stages is the culprit! I have seen a few with these symptoms..

Is it on all sources ?Is it affected by the volume control ?

It is on all sources I checked the headphones output too and the same noise can be heard. Changing the volume doesn't seem to make any audible difference.
I'm guessing from reading posts above I need to open it up and have a look when I have chance or does anyone know someone who charge reasonable prices in north london for this type of thing - sure it's just a capacitor or something small?
