I love B and O and have several sound systems and TV's. I am one of this epeople who enjoy buying the best an dthen keeping them forever!
I an now very disappointed now to find out that having sent back my Avant for repair and having accepted the quote for a replacement tube to b etold that B and O have decided not to support the Avany any longer.
Not what I would expect from such a firm , can we put pressure on them ?

I suspect it's more a question of the fact that there probably isn't anyone making replacement tubes and it would be too expensive for B&O to keep a stock of spares. The Avant is now an old TV (by todays standards) and they have done well to support it for so long. Many of the boards though I suspect will still remain in stock or can be repaired.
Sadly nowadays it is cheaper to buy another one second hand than it is to repair - I have one too and when it dies it will be replaced rather than repaired - but at least it is 100% recyclable from what I remember.
