One of the most common faults with the DVD2 is the front flap. There is a small plastic bar that goes from the left hand side of the flap into an anchorage inside. It is supposed to be a push-push system but usually either the plastic breaks breaks or a small metal rod that secures the bar to the front flap drops out into the machine. Repair is very difficult and I believe the replacement parts are no longer available. A service manual detailing the mechanism is available on site to gold and silver members.

Now the spare parts are no longer available, is there an experience with a 3D print of the plastic bar?

In the service manual are no dimensions of the bar. Is there perhaps a (3D)drawing?

I made drawing for BC9000 clamper with tinkercad, after you get idea how it works, simple. You do have to have old part where you measured dimensions, or trial and error method.

 blah-blah and photographs as needed
