Hi all

is there a version of the Playmaker firmware that's more recent than

1.00.2196

?

thanks. If there is, I can't seem to get my playmaker to update. Any advice?

I bought one today and updated to 1.00.2485.

I think it was still showing me that an update was available but I couldn't download further.  I will have another look tomorrow.

I just connected it to the router and checked again for further updates.  Although the setup page suggests that updates may be available, and it appears to be downloading new firmware when I initiate by pressing 'Yes', the version still shows 1.00.2485 dated 2012-09-11.

Anyone have a newer version?

Do you have a mk 1 Playmaker or a mk 2? As far as I know only the mk 1 is able to play Flac files.

Mk1 - all my music is FLAC hence I rushed to buy one before the Mk2 comes out.

In the dealership they denied all knowledge of a Mk2!!!!

So after your update to 1.00.2485 you are still able to play Flac files? Can you confirm this? I am afraid that I am not able to play Flac files anymore after a software update.

Yes - FLAC is playing at the moment!  I also checked FLAC in the dealership before I purchased!

No - I can't find any release notes anywhere and I didn't even try out the old firmware before updating yesterday.

So it seems I'm on an old firmware. Mine is from April 2012; but can anyone tell me how I actually initiate the software update? I've got the Phone app but B&O's instructions aren't really very helpful. Can someone help me out with an idiot's guide?

thanks

I haven't tried the phone app as I did mine from the computer, but it should be pretty obvious from the user interface.

Remember that the PM has to be connected directly to your modem/router with an RJ45 (network) cable for the update to run properly.

2485 are only bug corrections. Fixes issues with access point connectivity and a muting problem. You will not lose FLAC by updating MKI's. It was a switch in hardware that changed FLAC ability from my understanding.

Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there

Just replying to an old thread here. I just got a MK1 version with this software, and in the iOS updater app it says the software is from 2012. Is there a newer version at all for MK1? I could not get it to work over LAN, but if there is a newer software version which brings me any good things I can give it another try. Thanks in advance.
