I look at lauritz.com everyday and I'm amazed at these auctions. Sometimes thing go for more than the normal 2nd hand prize and sometimes it's a steal. Even with the 20% Lauritz adds, it's still less than half of what I spend for a MK.III BV9 2½ years ago.
Last week a set of BL5s went fairly "cheap", unfortunately I didn't have that much on my B&O account :o/

I rarely buy B&O anymore but I have had bad experience there myself (but also some good, to be fair), and not long agoI had a buyer visit me with a Beocenter 83-9500 he bought there, that didn't work.Turned out it had a couple of the large circuit boards missing inside and I have seen the same with pinball machines.Yes, in some cases you can deliver it back but it's a hassle and what's lost in transport/courier and time is lost forever.My advice; If you absolutely must buy there, consider it all junk and bid accordingly.I would buy private or from a 2ndhand dealer with good reputation.

That's my philosophy as well. If I am to buy something from them, it needs to be a lot cheaper than the average second hand price. I once bought a Beo5 at Lauritz.com, and it didn't work. Closer inspection showed that there had been water or some other kind of liquid on the charger so it was obviously damaged. Luckily I got all my money back.
What MK is it? If it's a MK3, then yes that price is very cheap.

The 2 above photo's are from personal auctions at Lauritz.com. The date is late 2007 for the BM6000 lot and the LX I guess 2008 without login to check it.
What can I say? When the B&O is not really working it is harder to sell and Lauritz gives an opportunity to bypass the hasle for the seller having to get rid of it. When you are early into Beovirus it seems like bargins and steals in many cases but in reality it is hit and miss.
For the B&O lot I got the BM6000 units as it looked fine for its age and that was the main reason. I got that reel to reel tape also and the rest got back into a new auction. It was to much and to heavy to carry. Sadly the units were DOA and quickly went by Dillen. They still work these days. If I had known this I would had saved my trip and gone straight to Martin instead.
As Lauritz protects the contact of who and where the stuff comes from I found a name on the box for the reel to reel tape which I had never played due not having a reel to reel machine to due a playback. I could see that my BM6000 was a complete system at a time so I was interested to know the story somehow. So I looked up the name and found just 1 person which turned out to be the former owner of the tape only. He said it was stolen from him at a public rehearsel room so I send it back to him right away.
The story of the BM6000? Used and enjoyed until the units started to give up then what? To old etc. No research for who could fix it and the owners to old at that point.
The LX5500 came with a bunch of various cables. 2 boxes 1611 and 1615 video + a dead Beolink MKIII. The stand in the photo is for an L2800 and it was actually such a Beovision it was replacing so it went with that one. It worked but the Beolink was dead. I instantly ran to the nearest shop who changed the printboard in it and it is still working along with LX (1989 on the back!). I have also used the cables and the 1611 box at some point so not a bad deal.
Then we have the story of my first Beosystem 6500. This was on auction with the speaker out puts being defective in the description so I was aware before bidding. Somehow I again attracted a troublesome Beomaster which acutally worked to some degree. Timer off it said! Hold right on BM and then left which I did with FM noise comming through the speakers. Right channel though were bad. A year or so went by and Dillen finally had a look for quite some time. Where do you find these units? The CD6500, Beocord 6500 and Beo4 worked great!
Anyway Lauritz runs their business well and I can't complain. You have the option to see the stuff in person in any case and if you can find 220 volt somewhere in their auction house then you have no one to blame but yourself when the auction turned out to be an electronic nightmare.
Would I do business with them again? Could be but I rarely look at their site anymore as what I look for comes from other places these days most of the time.
I used to check Lauritz as well and have seen some bargains there, especially Beosound 2300 & 2500. However, as I live in Sweden and cannot pickup the items myself (as the majority is in Denmark) and as I like my items in mint condition they are not an option for me. I do not trust their shipping and handling, neither do I trust their inspection of the items.
So if I buy used I either by private which I pickup my self or really ask the seller about condition and request photos etc. or from trusted ebayers liek Lifestyle and Timeless.
The worst I have received so far is a pair of BL4000 where one was quite scratched on the bottom (although the seller told me it was in fantastic condition). It was a real bargain though and as it is horizontally mounted in a corner you do not see that side so it's ok. Apart from that I have mostly received what I have expected. Also bought an LC" which was not working but it took me a couple of months to install it so it was to late.
I like to buy from people who loves B&O - then I know the items have been well taken care off.

As for shipping from Lauritz they have some deals with different transport companies and I had the LX arrive with no damage of any kind.
Also the Beosystem 6500 went without transport damage to my door at the time.
