Beomaster 5500 working fine, until today it shut down completely on music peaks (Classical music listening to Berlioz Symphony Fantastique. It immediately powers up when I press my tape2 inputs, which are fed from an Apple Airport express from my music collection on my computer.
Did this several times in a two hour period, only on music peaks. Starts up immediately without any problem. But play a few loud passages and it shuts down on the peaks, (bass drums ususually).
Any one have a clue?

Possibly the no-load trimmers in the amp have drifted - best cure to replace and re-adjust to factory specs!

Where are those located? I have done electronics repair and have a dvm. Where can I get the parts?
Firstly you need a service manual which can be downloaded from this site for a very small membership fee - the actual presets can be found at most electronics stores they are nothing special. Your meter really needs dedicated mV range.
