Dear members,
is a Beocenter/Beovision 1 a good fit for a Beosystem 7000 when connected via Masterlink? And what would you consider the best colour for a Beocenter/Beovision 1? Yellow, black? Anything else? I know, it's subjective, but I like hearing about opinions and tastes.
Thanks a lot.
Rgds,
Kai
I have a black BC1 on a pole stand. It started life on a video stand which, in my opinion, is not the most elegant set- up. It has also had part of its life on a wall bracket, but in my opinion the pole stand is the best looking solution. For some reason the tall pole stand is a little too high for most ceilings, so many get shortened to leave the top of the BC1 at about 2m height from the floor.
Physically getting all the cables into the pole, and physically mounting the TV on the pole are challenges to say the least!
The BV1/ BC1 remains an iconic design even in these days of the flat screen TV.
i can't comment on the Beosystem 7000 option but if you are thinking of using the BC1 speakers they give a pretty good account of themselves, perhaps lacking the bass of the Avant or BV5.
The BC1 will of course play CD's directly.

Yes, pole stand would be my favorite, too. They seem to be quite rare though and are probably hard to ship. I will need to get the TV first and then I'll decide which mounting option suits my environment best. It's sometimes hard to tell without having the devices in your room. I have a feeling that yellow would be my preferred color but then again, Beocenter 1s in great shape, yellow and around the corner... tough task to find. Thanks for your answer, Graham!
