Hi all

So, finally got the 7007 turntable working. Since I can't seem to find the original post, thanks to whoever pointed me at the trim pots. Of course, fixing one problem just makes you aware of others... Wink

First off, the arm seems to come down a bit to hard and kind of 'bounces' when it lifts up when you stop the playing. Also, when the record plays all the way through, the arm seems to come up a little late and clips the label on most records. Does anyone know of any adjusts that might need looking at?

Secondly, the dust lid. I've taken this apart and tried to put more twist in the wire, but this just seemed a exercise in snapping and scratching things that dose fix the problem. Is it a case of the wire just needing to be replaced? Or is there some other trick? I couldn't find anything in the archives, but this might just be a case of me not being too bright.

OK, it does have a host of other problems, but I don't want to push my luck.

Cheers.
