Hi gents,

My beloved Beo5 have been to the floor and the front glass have come loose.  Its not cracked or anything so I am wondering if here is any hope of rescuing it? (Without replacing the whole display unit)

Thomas,

With the glass off, is there any other damage to the screen components and/or the inside (rear) of the glass where it is fitted to the back section ?

Regards Keith....

Hi again and thanks for taking the time to answer.

Not all buttons work and the ones that work needs a bit harder pressing than normally.

Thomas,

That is exactly what I was concerned about. The construction is such that just fixing the glass back more than often will not work.

I am afraid you will need to get it repaired at a B&O Dealer, but there is good and bad news about that. I will start with the good news and that is because the Beo5 screens are no longer available, a Beo6 screen unit will be fitted and it will become a true Beo6. Now the bad news, clearly your Beo5 is out of warranty, so you will have to pay the repair cost which will be quite high.

Regards Keith....
