Hi all,
I have the following set-up:
Wired Playmaker connected to a pair of BL9.
iPad with Creation 5 app.
All music files are on iPad, and also a copy of the music files is on the Synology NAS.
Now the problem is that if I in C5 select
- Type is Music
- Source is NAS
- Room is Playmaker
Then I can select a music track and play, but the play/pause in C5 does not work. In other words, I cannot stop or pause the track. Also switching to another track does not work correctly.
I thought that the C5 app was made specifically to work with BM5 or with Playmaker.
Are these familiar problems? Is there somewhere a problem list for C5 app in combination with Playmaker?
Is this a Playmaker problem?

Hi -F,
if all your music is on the iPad as well you could use the AirPlay function of the Creation 5 app.
Choose your iPad as source, hit the AirPlay button and select the PM as target.
Should be more stable than the DLNA/NAS way.
Greetings Millemissen
P.S. sure the Creation 5 is 'meant for' BM5/Playmaker - but it is technically just a DLNA app like the PlugPlayer og the 8Player.
There is a tv - and there is a BV
Hi Millemissen
Yes, indeed, using the iPad local music library as a source and using airplay to stream to the PM works ok.
I am experimenting with the DLNA/NAS approach to see if the sound quality would be improved when streaming from the NAS directly to the PM.
Greetings,
Flere
Hi BeoHut,
No , I did not yet experiment with the Creation 5 specific playlists.
I will do this and see whether this does not have the same problems as when selecting directly an album from the NAS via the Creation 5 app.
