Does a PUC for the CAMBRIDGE Azur 752BD - blurayplayer - exist?

Could the PUC for the OPPO maybe be used?

Has anyone experience with this BRP on a BV?

There is only ONE Cambridge product in the PUC library and that is BD650 DVD which uses NEC protocol and the commands are listed below.

It may be compatible, but without either trying or capturing an IR code from your Blu-Ray player there is no real way of knowing.

The OPPO also uses NEC protocol, but I expect it also uses a different device code. The only real way of knowing for sure is to capture one of the IR codes from your original Cambridge remote, then we would know for sure.

Thanks Keith,

I just wondered because Geoff Martin wrote in another thread that he uses a Cambridge Azur blurayplayer on his BV11.

He could - theoretically - use the original remote, but I don't suppose so.

I'll wait a while to see if there are more CA bluray users amongst the BeoWorlders.

Otherweise I will have to pm him - I will report back then.

P.S. I am thinking of buying one instead of the OPPO because of the improved audio DAC in the CA - so I can't test it myself.

After looking further I have found the Cambridge IR codes on their web site and are in the attached PDF

Well, you may be in luck..

I took the Cambridge DVD in the PUC and decoded the EJECT command as shown below and I can confirm it uses the same device code and command code as stated in the Cambridge PDF in the previous posting.

I think it will work, as Cambridge to my knowledge only have 1 remote. Back in the day I had a CA CD-player and Amp, either remote could be used.

Too long to list....

I am using a Cambridge Azur 651BD with my BV11 with PUC and Beo4.

EDIT

Without digging around in PUC menus on the TV, and at the risk of causing confusion if my memory is at fault, I have a vague recollection that I started off trying what looked like the Oppo equivalent model and found that the 651 would not respond to it.
