Hey,

I've got my VCR and DVD1 connected to my MX television.  Anyway, I was watching a dvd and it suddenly dropped in brightness, sort of like a laptop does after a few minutes when you have it on battery power.  I thought maybe the tube had gone (yikes!) but I took the scart lead out, plugged it in and it was fine [!].  Then it did it again after a bit but after I pressed the Menu button on the remote, it was ok.  Is this some sort of setting I've managed to muck up somewhere?  It seems similar to the energy saving mode on my projector but I have no idea what's going on.

I had exactly this problem the other week on Beovision 7 whIlst playing a dvd from blockbuster (I forget the title).

It seemed the dvd was faulty as other discs played ok and, so far, it hasn't repeated.

You're right it seems.  It was The Sopranos, Series 2, Disk 2 but I moved onto the next disk and it's fine.  Very odd indeed.
