Hi, newbie here.
I have a Beomaster 1900 with speakers too, hand me down. I was worried that one of the speakers was blown, but it is not.
I have a different issue. It looks like it is set up for 2 sets of speaks (1, 2). Now when I plug in the red and black into one of the speaker portals (1, for instance), only one speaker works. The same thing happens when I put the plugs into 2. Now the work-around is if I plus one speaker into 1, then the other into 2, but I fear they are both the same channel. If I adjust the balance on the console, it appears to be the case. Can I fix this easily or should I just bag this beauty? I don't want to spend a lot to repair and would DIY if I could and someone could help. Or, is it SUPPOSED to work like that?

There are several posts on this forum regarding similar issues and often are symptomatic of the same cause. I just went through this issue myself with a 1900 restoration. Most likely it is the slider control for the blance that is the problem or maybe even all 3 sliders, balance, treble and bass. It takes a steady hand but I fixed them with the help of others on this forum. You should find some helpful information in this post, well worth it to fix one of these and saving it from being trashed. Good luck!

Well, I flipped it upside down, took the screws off the outside bottom, then got a little intimidated. Unscrewed the black plastic area where the speakers get plugged in but wouldn't pull out, same a bit with the green circuit board, but I might have been getting too intimidated by that point.
I am a complete amateur at taking one of these apart, could someone give me some guidance at getting to the sliders to clean and see if I can get this channel cleaned up? Reading the schematics is a wall of difficulty for me. I would greatly appreciate it.
To be honest, this is not a job for a novice. And I mean this in the best of ways.It can be very tricky to get in and even worse to get out.You assumed that it was like any other stereo and started from the wrong side !

Yes, I think I realized that once I opened the back! Okay, so how to get in the the top?
Four screws holds the vertical rear grill.Then two screws under the large alu lid which then lifts off together with the underlying plastic part.
Cool, I am in! I unscrewed the circuit board, but can't really get under due to wires holding it down. I can't seem to see any burnt out circuits or anything, fairly clean.
You will need an Ohm meter (multimeter) to check if the sliders are OK, specially the balance.

There are slots provided to hold the tonecontrol board upright.You can also unplug it and take it out.
