I wonder has anybody moved from bl9 to 12-3 and still kept a sub eg bl2? any improvements in sound quality?

Moving from BL9 to BL12-3 would be 'the wifes decision'  - imo Cool

Has anyone move up (erm, down!) to BL12-3s from BL9's? BL9s are incredible with superb bass. 12s are a bit 'meh' in my opinion. And very chrome. Very 90s.

Adding a BL2 to BL12s will certainly improve the bass.

I am looking forward to hear the BL12's with the 'new sub' - maybe that will be a good combination.

But I doubt that that combination will beat the BL9's.

i must say , i was quite surprised by them . detailed and accurate despite the slim cabinet.

i think i prefer the new topaz grey colour though , and i might even try a 12.2  with a beolab  2 / 11 next.

as much as i am enjoying them , i don't think they better the beolab 9...

For Me ! BeoLab 12.2/3 are the best speakers that David Lewis designed. Unfortunately, his last creation. I use them for my sound system without subwoofer. Simple configurations are allways the best !
