Chris Townsend:Updated software, but it still shows march 2012 so maybe that is the latest.
My Playmaker MKI won't update it's software. Constantly states there is an update available. I update, it claims the same update is available.
The Playmaker is really doing my head in. It just disconnects itself as an Airplay device, constantly, from the network. Strangely, even mid-playback! You can be half way through an album and the thing just disappears from the network as an Airplay device. You have to switch it off and back on to get it to reconnect.
B&O really have never quite got this Airplay thing right, in my opinion.
After some research it seems that there has been two software updates since March 2012
The first was released on 24th April 2012 and was defined as version 1.02.10 and fixed the following issues:-
On the 22nd August 2012 version 1.02.12 was released to fix:-
Given the number and type of issues apparently resolved, its clear that B&O Quality Assurance testing prior to product release was well below acceptable standards.

Surprise surprise, many relating to Airplay. "The device appeared on the Beolit app for a few weeks but Airplay was rubbish, kept dropping."
I'm close to taking my Playmaker back to my local store and demanding a refund on the basis of not being fit for purpose. I've never owned any other tech that drops so frequently from an Airplay connection, mid-playback! Actually it's not the disconnection, it's the fact it completely disappears from the Airplay network. No way around that apart from turning the thing off and back on again.
People seem to love the Beolit design and audio, but the usability and wifi connectivity is dire.
It's very hard work in my opinion trying to update the Beolit 12. The router is away in a cupboard above the front door and I have to stand on a chair holding it in mid-air with iPhone trying to update!
Beosound 8, Beotime, Beocom 4, Beo 5, Lutron Rania, MacBook 15" (Mid 2015), iPad Pro, iPhone 6S, B&O Play H3, Beolit 12, Form 2, A8 Headphones, B&O Play A1, B&O Essence
Thanks for that detailed info, Keith. What's odd is that my 12 shows 1.02.12 as the version on both the Status and the Update Product Softare page, but with a date of 2012-03-26 for that version. Updating doesn't seem to do anything via the app (lights flash as they should for a brief period, but seemingly to short for a real softare upgrade). And the version/date remain unchanged. I suppose that the 1.02.12 is the real indication I'm on the latest software, and the earlier date is just a bug...?

Moxxey, a little while ago I took 5 playmakers back for a refund for the same reason. I was given some rubbish by B&O that my network was at fault blah blah blah!
Funny that every other (non B&O) airplay device on the network never missed a beat.
Get your money back and swap for a Essense MKII, they are fab, so flexible, even if you don't like the B&O app there are other ways to use them.
