That is the IR code converter. It is a device that allows you to use a Beolink 1000 / Beo4 to control either a Beomaster 5000, 6000 or 8000 and to use these systems in an MCL2 system. It is a bit slow and you need all the bits! In particular, you will need the IR lead and the power supply. The very basic instruction book is on site for silver and gold members. I had one of these but I think I swapped it for something equally as useless to me!! Big Smile

Thank you, Peter, for detailed information Yes - thumbs up. This device come with IR sensor and power adapter.

Now it's clear for me that as I own Beosystem 5500, the IR part not necessary for me. But is this converter allow to use it wits Beomaster 5500 as additional audio inputs or these inputs works only for a local room?

I would suggest you look for a MCL2AV - that allows the addition of sources in the link room. I am sure you will find many people wanting to buy the code converter from you - these are rare and much sought after!

Do you have reciever with timer+mute buttons or without buttons named SENSOR ?

For control code converter you need ir sensor.

Here is photo of my iR sensor connected in to Beomaster 5500. Hope this help.  Smile
