Good morning!

I am thinking of buying BO gateway for our house. We have Beosound 5. Beovision 10-32, Beovision 7-32 and everything is connected together in a masterlimk incl two bathroom. With BO4 and BO6 remotecontrol, I think it is rather complicated navigating especially in the radio menues..I saw the Gateway demonstrated in a BO- store a few days ago, ang on the iPad it looked, and worked, really good.

Do anyone have some experience with this product, and it is worth the money? I have an operating Apple tv on both tvs... I understand that also this could be controlled by my iPad via the Gateway??!!

Looks like there only few people with MLW experience...

Before buying an MLGW I`d check your products and sw versions on MLGW compatibility.

BS5, BV10-32 should be no problem, with BV7-32 I`m not sure, assuming bathrooms are equipped with BL3500 or BL active, maybe they must be updated. You will find useful info here: http://mlgw.bang-olufsen.dk/

For me MLGW is worth the money, otherwise I wouldn`t have bought it I got a special discount from my dealer).

Primary purpose in my case is to simplify control of a complex system with seven rooms, cinema system and central control of light and blinds.

This is working great with MLGW. It acts as a server - often used functions and macros are stored in the gateway, and I`m able to control all these functions with ipad, iphone (Beolink app) and also via Beo4/6 in LIGHT and CONTROL modes.

If you just want a simplier control of your BS5 I`d recommend to program a page with RADIO favourites on your Beo6. This can be done for TV stations and RADIO channels. As you might have seen in the demonstration this is also possible in Beolink app for ipad.

Yes, your Apple tvs can also be controled via MLGW - as all PUC controled third-party devices.

Hope this helps

Stefan

What would you like to know?

I've been using one with a Mac set up for many years.

It's been a very good experience for me.

I use the system with lutron radiora2 and have ZERO complaints.

I have set it up in a home with new and legacy products.

I strongly recommend it.

The ipad/iDevice interaction is very nice.

I'm also very satisfied with my MLGW. I would strongly recomend it if you have a control system in your house. The only thing I miss is the posibillity to browse/search Spotify on the BM5, but at least you can activate playlist that has been stored.

My experience is that to low s/w only means the the products can't recieve Light + Control signals from the remotes (but they still can be controlled by the MLGW).

You will find a lot of information on this site: mlgw.bang-olufsen.dk

I use the MLGW to control a LK IHC system and the following B&O equipment:

- Beomaster 5 (with Beosound 5 software activated)

- Beovision 8-26

- Beovision 3-32

- Beovision 4-42 (Beosystem 1 EU)

- Beolab 3500

- Beolink Active

- 2*Beolink Passive
