My guess is that it would be used in store to connect a mp3 player and different headphones/speakers. as a customer you can compare them.

There is a picture showing that you're not allowed to throw it away.... Seems like you're stuck with it!

This is a TV/radio/sat channel programmer so that when installing a BeoVision/BeoSound you don't have to setup the channels by hand... Saves you a lot of time if you have to programme a lot of channels!

There should be a sticker like that on all B&O equipment...
