Hi,

Yesterday when I came home, my Beo4 looked like this in the display!? Has anybody seen this before?

Time to interview your wife / kids / the cleaning woman / etc I think...

LCD displays typically need a hit to look like that.

It's not a major job to replace the display and shouldn't cost to much.

Looks like your liquid crystal display (LCD) has shifted to more liquid and less crystal. I'd vote for some kind of serious impact.Either that or the ghost of Salvador Dali has been in your house.

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus. Sad

Most common cause for this : somebody (maybe you, without even knowing it) sat on the Beo4's screen... That happened to my Beo4 under my girlfriend... cost me approx. 25€, shipping included, and 5minutes to repair.

As previously said, a drop can be the cause,

Lastly, if the Beo4 was under direct sunlight, it can be overheating of the LCD panel. But usually, it goes back to normal after cooling down.

Could even be a part of the "Transformations" revealed in Copenhagen on the 3rd of September.

It looks like someone may have tried to lift the screen out with a screwdriver or something because the frame at the top doesn't look straight in your picture (or is that just the camera angle) and there seems to be damage to the plastic screen surround.

You often see replacements on online auctions quite cheap and as opman says it is not a major job to replace.
