Ok, why has my thread been removed without any notice.

I know one new member advertised himself which is not allowed but the rest of the discussions wasn't really necessary to be removed. Not sure which mod did that but next time at least inform the OP before taking any action for removing someones thread(s). As a paying member I'm entitled to know why you did that!

Dear Leslie,

Moderators are here to moderate, watch, clean out and do simple housekeeping at the forum pages.
They are here to keep the Beoworld forum a nice and pleasant place to hang out.
Moderators can edit, move and delete posts and threads that they feel needs to be moved, edited etc.
There are no rules that OPs needs to be adviced, asked or informed before or after any moderating action is
taken just like there isn't any rule stating that moderators need to explain why they do what they do or
who of us did what.
The fact that you are a paying member does not give you more "rights to be informed".

The thread in question was discussed in the moderator forum. It had some unpleasant undertones, advertizing,
flaming plus a couple of other nasties that we don't allow on Beoworld.
Maybe some posts or the entire thread was already deleted before you got to read it all ?
It was decided that the thread was going nowhere fast and it was therefore deleted by the moderator team in agreement.

You are free to start a new thread on the same topic.

I fully agree

Is this is a decision that can be taken by just one mod or is this decision taken by the mod team?

Advertizing did happen by one member.

What do you mean by unpleasant undertones or other nasty's which you or your team did not allowed that I'm not aware of, and on the other hand how did you know because of the Dutch language where this discussion was all about?

Not that I'm aware of, I think I followed my thread word by word and there was one member and I'm not talking about the "advertiser" who made a minor remark which I did not appreciate. I respond to that in not to bad words. But in general I think this thread was quite interesting, you could have deleted a few posts but not the entire thread. You know that not so long ago someone placed a insulting link and remark to me, and surely you know who I mean. What did you do or your team about that? Nothing until it escalated and I asked you to delete the entire thread. Lots of members who emailed me confirmed that this was indeed not acceptable.

Dear Leslie,

I can guarantee you that the thread in question was not deleted to punish or annoy you.
It was deleted for the reasons, I stated above.
I will not go into details about what was written in the thread and who was targeted or flamed by who but I am quite sure, that
if you had read the whole thing you would agree with our decision without hesitation.

No members can ever read everything. That includes moderators. We are trying our best to weed out and I think, we
do a pretty good job. Most spam posts are gone in a matter of minutes.
There is not always a moderator online, but almost, and often more than one but it does happen that an otherwise
friendly thread suddenly, for some reason or another, runs astray without us noticing until someone tells us.
Luckily our members are generally very good and quick to point us towards problems. And that includes you. Thank you.

You also refer to a complaint from you that was, if I remember correctly, immediately taken care of (by me, correct?) even
if it was quite late in the evening. The involved member(s) were told right away, in a friendly tone, that their remarks
were out of line, everyone accepted and life on Beoworld went on.

The languages generally used on Beoworld is not a problem. We moderate all forum sections and (of course) also the dutch.
General housekeeping is usually done by individual mod team members.
Borderline and more serious issues are discussed in the moderator forum section.

There was one guy in this discussion who gave me a name to whom I replied but not worth mentioning it. Beside that and the illegal "advertiser" I still really have no idea why you removed my thread. Anyway, I think I can guess who's responsible for this. End of discussion and thanks for explaining.
