Hi all,
A little perplexed… My BV11-55 started acting up this morning. I was watching TV and the sound suddenly just disappeared. All the speakers still had their little green lights on (BL9 front and BL6000's rear), the menu option for Setup>Sound>Sound Info was normal (Input PCM 2.0, Output 5.0 True Image) but no sound. The source is a STB connected via HDMI. Switching channels made no difference, image but no sound.
I switched to another source, also STB (exact same model) also connected via HDMI and the sound was back…. or so i thought, 2 minutes later the sound was gone on this one as well. I switched back to the first STB and voila sound, but within minutes it was gone as well.
So this whole morning I've been switching between the two STB's with sound disappearing intermittently - sometimes within minutes, the longest stable sound was 30 mins.
So either I've mysteriously had the exact same fault develop in BOTH STB's at the exact same time (methinks not likely) or I have a problem with the BV11.
Anyone else had this before?
Is something warm?
Quick solution, power all off and try again.
Slightly more time intensive solution, do a reset to default and programme all your settings in again.

Probably not the answer to this double STB sound fault, but when I went to play a DVD on my Cambridge linked to BV11 player today there was picture but no sound.
After much puzzling I realised that SWMBO had been dusting in the vicinity of the BluRay player. Sure enough, a little pressure on the hdmi connection at the back of the player restored all functions.

Hello
Since yesterday too, my father on his bv 11 55 has no sound on certain channel. (decoder on hdmi).
It is really strange that this problem happens at the same time. I wonder if this can be created by a wrong update.
Best regards

He unplugged the tv and this problem has disappeared.
Got back home a few hours ago - went out of town for the evening - thus far no issues after two hours of having the TV on. Holding thumbs it stays this way.
I didn't do anything apart from not using the setup for 30 odd hours.
