Hello

I know it happened to some beoworlders but no one explained why.

one of my beolab 8000 stay green. i tried with different cables and with Left or right, still the same issue.

Sometimes the led is red and when it receives a signal it becomes green , but no sound.

I  opened the beolab 8000, checked the connectors of the amp and make some cleaning, but still the same issue.

The other one works perfectly. They have been stored for 2 months in a garage.

Thank you in advance for your help

For information, I don't hear any relay clicking and the foam inside is falling and is sticky.

I have swaped the amps between the two beolab 8000 and it seems that the problem is coming from the amp only.

Any clue ?

Hi

I am really surprised that nobody on beoworld can help me to explain this behaviour.

Hi,

Did you ever resolve this problem? I am having the same problem. By the way, how do you remove the wiring which goes to the plugs at the bottom?

Thank you.

Gary

Hi gary

Yes it has been solved by changing the amp module. This has been done by a b&o repair center for 350 euros.

The amp was too damaged for being repaired maybe it was less serious at the beginning.

You just have to pull out the cables at the bottom.

It is not efficient to swap the amps without making some adjustments, I advise you to bring the whole speaker to a repair center.

Best regards

Olivier
