I bought a Beogram 8000 a month ago that the previous owner hastily removed the rosewood trim from all three sides leaving a horrible sticky residue. I was able to get all the residue off but I am looking for some front Rosewood wood veneer for the front. I was able to steal the sides off a Beogram 2404 that got trashed in a shipping disaster so no loss and was able to re-apply them to the sides. I just need the front piece that is approx. 19" wide. Any Beocord 8000/6000 or Beogram 8000/6000 could be a potential donor.
If anyone has the front trim or is parting out a 8000 series component please let me know.
There are other ways to glue the veneer on and it's a bit too late now, I know but for other readers don't removethe remaining glue if you plan to stick something on it again. The glue losens if you heat it with a hairdrier and you can then lift off the veneer with a hobby knife andmove it to another Beogram/Beocord where you will apply it again using the hairdrier.Having some glue remains on the receiving cabinet is perfect.

In a worse case scenario where the rosewood veneer is too damaged to fix and a B&O spare isn't available to steal from, has anyone attempted buying new rosewood veneer and applying it? There are places like this - Veneer Supplies that sell all kinds of rosewood veneer. It is a pretty pricey route but it might be an option.
The sides worked out perfect- you cannot tell it was from a 2404- I used a heat gun, heated up the residue that was left on the sides, heated up the trim from the 2404 and placed it on the 8000. Waited till it adhered and trimmed it down to fit in the slot with a surgical scalpel (manufacture them at work) and it looks perfect. I decided to remove the residue off the front trim piece since it looked absolutely horrible until I can source trim that is 19" wide. I was going to maybe do it in white using Band-It trim from Home Depot. $2.49 a roll. I will see first if I can make it factory fresh first. And thanks to Dillen, the PCB will have new capacitors installed this weekend.

Why not buy new veneer and replace all the sides ?
Or why not painting the sides white?
I know, matter of taste but white B&O is IMO always very elegant and timeless.

I was able to find some Melamine rosewood edge band trim at Rona Home Store. $15 for 50' roll. Almost exact match, just doesn't have the texture. Trimmed it to size and used a heat gun. Looks fantastic. The sides have real rosewood trim that I took off a Beogram 2404 but since the 8000 and 2404 have a different width I resorted to the Melamine. Tried to keep it as original as possible.
It looks good. Not a bad substitute.
