Loewe ready with a new series of cheaper tvs named "Art"
I wonder if it's good or bad news for B&O. I'm not that impressed with the design, this new range hardly fits the name "Art". But they are priced very low.

Been researching this tv and have even read the PDF, the specs are very good and i prefer it in black.
really looking forward to seeing it in the flesh.
Beoplay A2
this will kill them. If they´re going to play with the big brands they will make some volumes at the beginning but how will they compete with samsung, LG and so on?

BV 11-46 / Beoplay V1 -40 / Apple TV 1+3 / Beosound Essence MK2 / BL3 / 2* BL11 / BL 6000 / BL 12-1 / BL 2000 / 3 * Beo4 /BL Converter 1611
hhhmmmm..... reminds you of the BeoPlay strategy a bit doesn't?
Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there
@Heribert
Don't forget - this is not Loewe, it is Hisense.
The chinese are big and are getting even bigger through Loewe in europe.
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
BeoMegaMan: hhhmmmm..... reminds you of the BeoPlay strategy a bit doesn't?
Please don't compare the V1 with this dull tv from Loewe/Hisense.
Its hardly stiff competition comparing its cosmetics to the V1 lets face it.
Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.
@ Millemissen yep agree....
And Loewe said they could sell the TV's from a 3rd party later on..Tescos comes to mind lol....in the way the TV Looks....
There again for price's they are saying it would sell....maybe?
In this current climate in order to survive you have to change your strategy, i feel that loewe are being smart. And i think they can turn a corner, hisense are supplying loewe with the panels and tech, all the processing etc is all loewe.
Loewe will be working with hisense with interfaces and menu systems aswell as allowing hisense to bring there products into the German market.
I also think by them introducing a range of sizes up to 60 inches makes it more appealing aswell as pricing them in reach of a clientele who wasn't in a position to be able to afford one before.
Has anyone seen this Loewe ART in Reality and did compare it with a V1? I am looking for a good 32" second room TV. The V1 is about 2500 Euro, the ART is for 800... this ART seems to be the only 32" TV in the Loewe Range now...
I need something to convince myself to pay tripple the price with same features. It must not be only the BEO4 that is keeping me off another premium brand than B&O TV.
It depends what you consider very nice. If you want a product which fits in with domestic architecture like the MX TVs did so well then the V1 is perfect but if you want some brushed metal and bling like some of the later B&O then there's more out there I'm sure. The Loewe Art looks nice and subliminal .After all the poit of the TV is the sound and the picture.
Beo Century ,Beoplay V1, Beocenter 6, Ex-Beolit 12, Beotime , A8. Beolit 15 , Form 2i , Beolab 2000, Beoplay A3.Beosound 1
it is not so much the design. I do like the V1 because this design is very special.
It is more of picture and sound of the 32inch version. The technical data do not show too much difference. As I want this Set also as Musicplayer it should sound nice.
Which extra costs would I need to add? Stand? Remote?...
The V1 comes with the beo4 remote and a stand but I'd recommend wall mounting it for an extra couple of hundred euros. The sound is great on the 32" tv without any extra speakers and the 40" has more audio power listed on the specs .
Gross! Another corporate brand commoditizing on the Art craze. Soon Art will be out of fashion because of the rapid consumption.
The word Design was similarly abused from the mid eighties onwards !
