Just received some information from Facebook: *Bang & Olufsen's former longstanding chairman Peter Skak Olufsen, nephew of Bang & Olufsen co-founder Svend Olufsen is dead*. Sincere condolences to his family.

That makes me very sad, indeed.

I used to chat with him every year at the general meeting in Struer.

Great guy - always open to new thoughts and ideas.

i will miss him.

Yes, I had a very nice discussion with him when he and his wife hosted the 2012 Beoworlders to the family home.

I posted a picture of our tour leader's "thank you" to Peter and Susan in this thread http://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/t/7371.aspx

I'd also like to express my deepest sympathy to the Olufsen family, and in particular his son Mads who I have a great respect for.

Peter Skak Olufsen was a very warm, generous and welcoming person whenever we visited Quistrup - and my chats with him will always be remembered.  I'm sure he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Sad news indeed.

This is indeed very sad and shocking news.

Only in May did I have the pleasure to meet him and his lovely wife, as they gave wonderful hospitality to a group of VIP customers I was hosting to, on a trip to Stuer to visit the factorey and museum.

It was a rare honour and a privilege to visit the family home, and even moreso in the way that Peter and his wife received us. He looked the picture of health too.

RIP Peter, you will be missed. Thoughts to the family too at this time.

Very sad news indeed. I was there to with the Beoworld trip and remember the stories he had to tell and his hospitality was second to none. Condolences to the family.
