Could you be a little more specific about what you have heard about those 'new Beolab 8000'?
Will it be BL 8003, BL 8002 mk II - or succesors to the 8000 series with a different design..?
Complete new loudspeaker.
koning: Complete new loudspeaker.
So 8002 will be gone and replaced by something totally new? New design or new electronic parts, ALT maybe?
Will these sit above or below the beolab 9? I'm thinking of getting a pair and I don't want to buy some and in a few weeks they get superseded
All I heard, was they were going to sound great. GET IT!! XXXXXXXXX OOOOOOOO

I'm eager to know what this product is going to be before I go and spend some money
You won't have to wait long.
As Koning already wrote: 15 october.
This has just been confirmed by a very reliable source of mine.

Oops - double post...I'll use my laptop next time!!!
hello any news about new music system ?
15 october............No
Dates are more likely screwed up when a poster passes on rumors he got from a person who signed a non-disclosure agreement. Why believe someone who lacks ethics?
Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.
Chris Townsend:Virtually no other big company I can think of, doesn't release some teasers.
Isn't a(n anticipated) launch date a teaser in itself? Many people seem well teased. I'm sure we'll see a few more "does anybody know" and "I was told" threads before the endless three weeks are over.

I spent the whole day today working with a bit of an audiophile who is about to set up a theatre room. He has his finger firmly on the pulse of whats coming out in the tech market, and he has not the first clue about most of the B&O range, let alone whats about to launch.
I took him along to the Beolab 14 launch and he was impressed. That was the last time B&O crossed his mind. This secret launch thing just doesn't work. Get some cool adverts out and then there might be more people at said launches.
I just throw in out of thin air:
a wireless pair of speakers?
Chris Townsend:Contracts aside, releasing a bit of material or even rumours might actually do them some good. They are launching speakers, not the Space Shuttle for goodness sake. Does this privacy thing spring from some hugely successful strategy that makes B&O huge profits? Virtually no other big company I can think of, doesn't release some teasers.

It's a business, owned by shareholders who make the rules, smart or dumb.
Maybe I am naive, but I cannot come up with a scenario where any company tolerates outsiders freely disseminating confidential product info. Apple actually had private cops hold a person hostage years ago, and elites at BeoWorld stated they were not at liberty to reveal specifics they learned at a private showing a while back. Nobody even challenged that.
But, to your point, it probably doesn't matter.

Soooo... people want speakers without wires? Ok.. cool... and how are they going to be powered? Batteries?
Anyway... Looking forward in seeing the siblings of the BL8000 & 6000.. At first I thought that the BL12 range was the replacement...
mjmedlo: iPoditiv: I just throw in out of thin air: a wireless pair of speakers? Peter the biker I think that's a good possible

I think one day, batteries could be the solution. I don't know if you saw what phillips did for home cinema.
I dream of an hifi system with great active speakers to listen to music with two detechable speakers to watch movies (same system than Phillips but with sound improvement).
I think it is possible to have surround speakers working on batteries. for me, cable are not a problem for an hifi system but for home cinema, batteries could be the solution....
Just an idea ;)
