Maybe the speaker is not as tall as the BeoLab 8000.

More the height of a BeoLab 5 ?

I am thinking more the size of the BL4000 so that you can either put it on a floor stand or on a shelf .... I am thinking in between BL3 and BL9 ....

I've been told that the height is the same.

Lots of high end speakers are tall, so, why not ?

Very curious about the "stiletto" shape...

I wonder if you get a special tool to keep the wood clean and free of cobwebs! Using beeswax could take some time!!

May be simpler to train the Bees to do it themselves!

While I'm sure they will be pretty (with my proviso about the lens) I wonder if they will be as universally visually "placeable" (or maybe hideable is a better word) as the standard 8000's and therefore have a more limited scope?

That said, I'm sure there are lots of interiors in which they'll look very good indeed and I would anticipate initial sales being very positive.

Ban boring signatures!

My initial thoughts exactly it's nothing easier than wiping aluminium with a clean slightly damp cloth

The wood would be difficult to maintain for years to come

Would bo produce a wireless module for retrofit into older beolabs?

Yes, maybe not as "universal" than the BeoLab 8000, more "avantgardist".

Tomorrow is the day !

Concerning the new BeoLab 8000 - the minimalist shape of the acoustic enclosure is spoiled by the big wooden grid; a special loudspeaker ! The new BeoLab 4000 with the subwoofer look modern, minimalist: Very nice design ! :-)

I really like the wooden grid! The only small concern I have is the really shiny silver ALT on top.

At this rate, I can see myself buying a set of these new speakers (fronts and rears) and the new sub! Roll on today. This could prove to be an expensive launch for me.

I just hope that they will be versatile and captivating, even though there is a MINUS sign on the website....

The new speakers seem to be iconic only...

You press "Minus" to get "More" details! I am surprised you didn't get the logic!

I have to say I noticed that little glitch. It should be the other way around...

+1, wood looks interesting, while brushed aluminium would probably be more classy, less bling-bling.

They could have asked John Mayer and recorded the show directly at the Farm in Struer.

He`s playing anyway tonight just about 30 miles away....and I will be there...:-)

BTW: not too sure about the "new 8003"...

Have to see & hear them in real life first.
What interests me more the the new wireless transmitters/receivers! Finally be able to have a descent surround system. I wasn't able to connect back speakers to my BeoVision.

Wtf the #new bl8000 looks awful. It looks like a pre prototyp of the original beolab8000. By the way the alt lense is way to high. If you have low seats its less sound.
