Can anyone advise what the problem may be please. I have a 2 year old Sony Bravia 1080 full Hd tv and I want to run the audio through my 5500 amp.
I have a genuine B & O cable with 2 RCA's to a 5 pin din and when I connect to the amp either in Aux or Tape I get no sound.
Pis it a simple matter of compatibility or something that can be fixed. Would appreciate any help.
I think you have to change to the LineOut in Earphone/LineOut menu in the television. That is if the television has that opportunity. I hope you understand my english.
I found this information at an other site:
Connect one end of the cable to the "audio in" connections on your stereo. These cables are also known as RCA cables. The cable consists of two or three plug-in connections on each end, depending on the cable used. Either two or three plug-in connectors work equally well.
Connect the opposite ends of the cable to your "Audio Out" connections on either the back or side of your Sony LCD TV.
Turn on your TV. Navigate to settings on your TV remote.
Scroll down to the "Sound" settings. Choose "External Speakers" from the options. Press the "star" button in the center of the remote to save the change.
Turn on your stereo and set the input to "AUX," or auxiliary input settings. The sound on your TV should now be playing through the stereo.
