Well they are cool according to the CoolBrands annual survey they come in 12th (think they were 9th last year)

We have this discussion every year. And every year B&O is voted as 'cool'.
As 9Lee rightly said in the past, this is a group of bespectacled industry judges who sit around figuring what they think is cool. Sadly it's not the buying public who make these cool brand decisions.
Personally, I don't regard Rolex watches as 'cool', nor Virgin Atlantic. Alexander McQueen? Cool? Hm.
And it's just one country so it's not projectable. Try doing the survey here and you'll get 'Bang and WHO??'

Maybe they are cool. However Virgin Atlantic lost £135 million which is not so cool.

I think the results would be very different if 1000 random people from different walks of life was asked.
Too long to list....
BeoBoy68:Since 2 weeks, I made an eMail to Bang & Olufsen. No answer until today ! Nowadays, for me Bang & Olufsen is not cool. In the past, the customer service was very cool. :-/
Don't bother. The customer service at B&O should be renamed to Customer time waste.
Razlaw: Thanks for posting this. Of course as usual, whenever anybody says anything good about B and O on this forum, they are met with multiple posts of a negative nature.

Yes, as us B&O-owning customers are simply trolls where no opinion is valid, unless it's positive. At least my replies aren't made up of "I want to hear more" or "thanks for posting this".

could not agree more with Razlaw ! +1
There are two questions here - firstly, are B&O cool? Well assuming "cool" is still a cool word among the youth then no!! I see no crowds of youths or anyone else standing outside of B&O stores peering in longingly (only Tumbleweed blowing through and past), whereas Apple can create worldwide hysteria by introducing a plastic phone!! B&O may be stylish but are they aspirational to the majority - no!, do kids have posters on their wall or search out B&O web content - no! The list seems to be compiled by the "Turtle Neck" brigade for their own promotion/self-satisfaction, I'd be amazed if climbing or falling 10 places (or even in or out of the list altogether) had any real effect on B&O's business! B&O are not "cool", if they were the whole Beoplay thing wouldn't have been necessary!
Secondly, the "let's not mention anything detrimental" brigade - I'm sorry but if you've bought something very expensive and which purports to be luxury, high quality goods and you have issues with it then you have every right to speak of it here! (In fact, there is very little point in mentioning it anywhere else as all other potential listeners will just play the "style over substance" card and dismiss your concern out of hand)! On this forum there are people with real knowledge of technical details and performance of current as well as historical product, who may be able to comment on your concern and even offer solutions - there is no system of "hiding" real issues from any casual browser, nor should there be, a problem is a real problem no matter what the cost of the product!!
If the string of threads with seemingly negative B&O propaganda gets too much or seemingly repetitive you could always start yet another thread asking what rear speakers to buy - just a thought!
Ban boring signatures!
