Deal all, as I already posted in the latest addition forum I recently acquired an AV 9000 system. Some work has to be done to get it perfect again, but I absolutely love it. There is one thing that I do not like: there is no aux connection on the MP... As I have all my music on my idevices I would like to stream music using an airport. Is there any way I could connect this to my new system?
Wouter
Actually there is a way if you have scart socket. Send me a message and I can explain as I did this but you will need some additional equipment of which I was thinking of selling as I had it connected to my Beovision 32 and no longer use it.

If you mean the Master Panel with MP, no there is no aux input. But you can use the AUXILIARY INPUT at the rear of your AV9000.
There are rca sockets on the VX7000 - audio and video.
As far as I remember you can access these inputs by using the V.TAPE MENU on the screen or by pressing V.TAPE - SHIFT - 5(?),7(?),9(?).

I know about this connection possibility, but this is where I connect my iPad to my tv so unfortunately this is already in use...(And I think it would take way to many buttons before I can stream my music)
I was thinking and came up with the following: connecting a beolink converter to the setup using ML and connecting the airport to the aux connection of the beolink converter. I could press Link, Aux to access the airport. Does anyone has experience with this? Any thoughts this would work?
Here are the promised pictures of (a part of) the av9000 system:
I still have some questions. I would like to add an aux connection to the system. Would my beolink converter idea work? Second, I would like to connect the system to two rooms with a MCL system. The connection would be made through a ML-MCL converter. But would the two-way communication work in the link rooms? To connect everything I probably need one of these, right?
Cheers,

Dear all,
I still have some questions about the connectivity of the AV 9000 system
First of all, I would like to connect the system to a MCL system using a ML/MCL converter. Second, I want to play music from a airport express.
I came up with the following idea: Connect both the Master panel, the TV, the ML/MCL converter and a beolink converter to a ML distributer box. Connect the MCL system to the ML/MCL converter and the airport to the beolink converter. BUT, would this work? I have heard that the AV9000 system uses another ML cable than other ML products. (am I wrong?) If this still would work, which converter should I use? Would the two-way communication work in the link rooms?
Thank you for your thoughts!
I think ML AV9000 to the masterpanel differs from the other ML so I guess this does not work. Not sure though.
This is so!
Wouter would have to use an AV9000 Audio Kit
http://beocentral.com/av9000audiokit
to connect to a BeoSound-Master (4500/6500/7000/BC9500)
He could then connect the APE to one of the inputs (A.Tape) and run the MCL from it as well.
But he would have to say goodbye to the 9000 Master-panel.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Thank you for the help, I guess I have to look for an av 9000 audio kit. But would it work to connect the AV9000 audio kit to a beocenter 9500 in a link room and put this in option 6?(or is this not possible?)
Any idea where I can get the AV9000 ML cable?
I think I found the solution! I added A-V.AUX to the beolink 4. This directly activates only the Aux connection of the video recorder as stefan suggested. :-) One small problem though, It works with one of my AV9000's, but the other one doesn't give any response at all. Any thoughts? It works with the SW1.2 AV9000, but not with the downgraded (from SW3.0) to SW 1.1 TV.

Unfortunately this isn't true... The av 9000 on which this worked had v.aux selected as the second av input...
Any thoughts whether a ML/MCL converter connected to he AV9000 system would work?
