I recently bought a beogram 1203 (so that I could play my father's extensive record collection. It worked fine for one day. Today I turned the 30-25-17-switch because I had the feeling the record was playing slightly too slow. It didn't help. I returned the switch to it's original position but it made things worse. Now the pitch is way below 33rpm.
Is there a way to change the pitch?
All these type of BGs are ready for an extensive service, Cleaning, lubricating, new belt. Specially cleaning of contacts and drive mechanism.
On one side of the BG 1203 there is a small "wheel" to adjust the speed.
I bought a new belt to mine (BG 1202) here for cleaning and service, take a look here
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
