Bvis 7-40 masterlink and sonos

Hi guys

Friend phoned me up to ask a question sonos connected to main tv and is working great they have a link system with passive speaker kits all over the house but can't seem to pull sound through it connected as vtape but won't work have tried link vtape, sat etc but no joy any suggestions from you guys, does it require a software update!!

Thanks I'm aware of that just using the phono connections and still no joy.

Link amplifiers ( Beolink passive?) should be set to L.OPT 6.

If MCLs are connected set to L.OPT 2.

Or try AV - V.MEM.

Masterlink is an analogue system. That's why a source (Sonos, Apple TV, external receivers) has not only be connected digital (HDMI, SPDIF) to BV 7, but also analogue (Cinch, Scart) if you want to get sound via masterlink in linkrooms.

With new BV 7 (I think Mk 5 and Mk 6) sound distribution also works via masterlink if the source is only connected digital, but only if BV 7 is not in standby.
