Some help please:
I have recently purchased a house and it came with B&O kit in 2 of the bathrooms and also a beolab 3500 on the wall in the spare room.
This is the only B&O kit in the house (note: the guy who owned the house before me had a B&O TV and all sorts of B&O kit).
I have no intention of buying any B&O kit as I don't have the money for it but I would like to get the bathroom sound systems up and running.
First question to help me understand if someone can help:
In the bathroom's there are B&O speakers in the ceiling, the small round silver controller's on the wall and then one bathroom has a "BeoLink Passive" amp and the other a B&O "ML/MCL converter" amp - what is the difference pls?
Pictures attached of the amps.
Thanks,
Jon
Hi Jon, the "main site" Beoworld page has a product tab - that leads you to the links I have posted for you

Beolink Passive = http://www.beoworld.org/prod_details.asp?pid=981
ML/MCL converter = http://www.beoworld.org/prod_details.asp?pid=984
If you are interested in the variety of options here is a list of entries from which I picked those two:

And you might find this sister micro-site of additional more technical information of some interest:

BTW the speakers are probably of these combinations of BeoVox passive speakers:

BeoNut since '75

If you want to get this working properly, you need to invest a little. I would suggest something like a Beosound 3000 could be picked up very cheaply - £200 - £300 seems to be the going rate - and would give you radio and CD in the rooms you have linked. You will need to find where the connection point is. You will be able to use a timer and will gain remote control of all sources. If not what you want, sell it and you should get some cash to put in an alternative.
