Hi everyone,
I am new to the forum and recently acquired a Beogram 3000 (72-75) turntable to go with my a slightly older Beocenter 1600.
Both pieces vintage equipments are functioning great, except for the Beogram 3000 belt does not want to stay on after 5-10 seconds of spinning the platter.
Can anyone provide me an insight on keeping this drive belt on?
Is the belt tension be adjusted on this Beogram?
Would a new belt be what I need? and where I might be able to get one that fits right?
Sorry for many questions, but after breaking my dad's b&o pieces when was a little boy years ago, getting all the info before taking these machines apart seems to be the lesson I learn.
Thank you,
pavarolar
Hi and welcome to Beoworld,
first job, replace the belt with a good new one - I would suggest contacting Beoworld member 'Dillen' by personal message as he has the correct ones I believe. Others available on for example eBay may be dubious in size, profile or fit. Martin 'Dillen' will no doubt have the correct one or suggest a good supplier. If the problem continues, a further look will be needed.
Enjoy your vinyl again.

Thanks but I don't have any of the round cross-section belts.Check the transport safety screws on the BG3000!

Martin, I'm shocked! An alternative source it is then. Transport screw always to check.
