I have a full 6500 system I purchased from new.

I also own a Beomaster 3000-2, again purchased new and a Beomaster 4000, both linked to a Linn Sondek LP12/SME3009 SII/Shure V15 II and V15v xMR. I love the 1970s look and the sound quality is absolutely stunning through Kef Reference 104aB speakers.

I now want to add  B & O CD players to the 3000-2 and 4000 set-ups. Whilst the sound quality is of paramount importance, I would like opinions re: earlier B & O CD players versus the Beomaster CD6500/7000 units as they have a more 'retro' appearance.

I considered a Linn Karik III as one possibility but would prefer to stay with B & O.

Many thanks

You really need a Beogram CDX !

Alternatively, an old Philips CD104 can be had for a lot less. Not half as cool, but same sound.

And in silver it will match the Beomaster 3000 better. Another must have is the original Philips CD100 (all alu).
