I have recently acquired a near mint condition Beocenter 9500 and was curious to know if anyone may know of its present genera market value? It has a 1992 production date and as I have mentioned it is near cosmetically perfect and musically all there. BTW, I am new to Beoworld and this forum so please excuse and learning pains as I interact.

You will need to tell us where in the world you are based before anyone will comment.

It's worth $50 and I could be up there within the hour to take it off your hands  Devil

But seriously, the 9500 is the most desireable of that design range and if it's in near-mint cosmetic condtion, everything works perfectly, and has no loose glass panels you've got a rare one.  Also depends on what's included - remote, antennas, manuals, original box.  Possibly just shy of $500 on eBay.  Less for a local sale but it's understandable you wouldn't want to ship it.

Thanks for your response back. I do have the box it was shipped in and the original Styrofoam protection. No additional accessories except a pair + one speaker connection for non - B & O speakers. There are no glass pieces and everything works and closes flawlessly( I din not test the cassette area because I have no need but am assuming it is just fine. The only minor scratches are on the outside cover of the CD closure and can only be noticed if up very close to the unit. I do believe it is in impeccable condition. BTW, I am not far from you. I am in Greenwich, CT.

If you have the original box and styrofoam inserts you could risk shipping it.  But the glass panels could come loose - they're held on with double-sided tape, which deteriorates with time.  Take several high quality 'beauty shots' of it. Find a cassette so you can test that – it might need a belt replacement.  Ideally, you want to be able to say it’s been fully tested and works perfectly.  Make sure both doors operate smoothly.  Google it to find out all about it so that you can give it a complete description.  You might consider upgrading your Beoworld membership to silver so you can obtain a .pdf of the set-up guide and user manual, and include them.  It’s a complicated beast.  Even tho the 9500 wasn’t the most  recent model of that design (the 9300 was), the general consensus here on Beoworld is that it was the best.  B&O has a habit of cheapening the manufacturing process over time to save money.  There was a recent post about the 9500 by moderator Peter to this effect but I couldn’t find it.  Good luck!

Thanks again. Will check into what you have noted. By the way, I did take record of the fact that it is a very desireable unit but due to my space limitations and collection of other audio gear I may need to move it to another well deserving home. So...presently taking realistic offers...Thanks again and if you may now of anyone interested I would certainly be very appreciative of spreading the word.
