I am considering downloading a configuration tool in order to program my Beo6 myself. My cable TV provider frequently changes channels and it is very annoying to have to go the dealer every month to update the configuration.

When I bought my Beo6, the dealer only provided me with a docking station for charging from power network. In order to connect the Beo6 to the computer I probably also need some sort of a USB connector. How does it look like and can it be bought somewhere?

Thanks for your help.

It is a totally standard USB to Mini cable which is used instead of the power adapter.

If all you want to do is change the numbers behind existing channel buttons you can do that from the BEO6, you don't need the config tool.

I can't remember the exact sequence of key presses but have it written down at home for the odd occasion I need to do it.

If you want to add other channells, change logos etc, then you need to go to your dealer as he needs to do that from the config tool.

OK - I did not realise that I could use the same docking station also for connecting to PC. Thank you Keith.

This is correct, please see instructions on pages 8 and 9 in the attached User and Reference Guide

If you want to program the Beo6 yourself, be aware that you have to program from the very beginning.

It's not possible to download the software from the Beo6, change it, and then upload it again.

Unless you have the config file from your dealer.
