Well, a few months ago I came on here and asked
"Quick question......Where can I get some more information on these Trumpet Stands, I know I have seen a page in the products section, but I can't find it again, does anyone have the link please, or anywhere else I could get some Info ?.
I really want to get some, but putting "Trumpet Stands" in the search box of google doesn't really help much, so searching for any for sale is a bit of a problem."
Anyway, a few days ago I managed to secure these from fleabay, attached to a rather nice set of 3800's..............
And am expecting them to arrive in the next couple of days; Obviously these aren't the same Trumpet Stands as the ones that I believe were made for the later speakers, that the speaker sort of "Hangs" from.
Anyway, as soon as I get them I'm going to get as much info from them as I can, and post it here, as it seems that not much seems to be known about this particular stand other than a Part number that is listed under the 3800 description as "Type 8906007", which is of no use when put into any search engines.
I know it's being a bit of an Anorak, but it's taken 3 years to get some of these.
Mission accomplished.
Cheers Paul

Wow, why didn't you asked me. A friend of mine who came from France bought these a while ago and picked it up personally. Congratulations finding these. Do they come with the special bolts? It looks like these are a bit smaller as the one that I had for the M70/S60 speakers. Am I correct?

Hi Leslie
You probably remember I spoke to you earlier in the year regarding the stands you had, which were for the M70/ M60, (Wish I'd bought them, as well now ).
But these were the ones I was after, which I believe are a much earlier version that either just screw into the bottom somehow, or have a single bracket at the back that screws into the speaker, as the I think the 3800 doesn't have any built in stand mounting option, only the wall mount screw slots, I could be wrong though.
To be honest I didn't have time to ask for more pics, as It was Buy It Now, and I've only ever seen one other pair for sale in 3 years and they were twice the price I paid for these without speakers.
As I say, when I get them I'll post all the info I can get from them and post it here so hopefully people will be able to use it.
Nice to speak to you again.
Okay, very curious how yours looks like. The one that I had, which "Jacquesboo" bought from me, was in a scratchy condition but some sanding did the trick to make them look good again. You saw my pictures...
Had both sorts - the 3800 ones had a platform and an edge at the back where one could screw the speakers to. The S60 ones had a bracket on the back with pegs that fitted in recesses in the back of the speaker. I didn't find them as stable as the later square stands. Very pretty though!

OK, so the Speakers and Stands arrived Today, and presumably they are just as Peter described, so I've just taken a few shots just to give people an idea as to the difference between these and the later versions.
I have to say that they seem very "Flimsy" compared to the usual B&O quality, A very simple construction, the Trumpet part of the construction being perhaps just a little thicker than your Granny's Saucepans, and the Platform being a very thin gauge metal, although they seem quite sturdy when the speaker is on them, Oh, and the strips on the platforms are a very old bits of self adhesive foam padding.
I have some more pics if anyone wants them
Those are the same as I had - they dent quite easily!
Maybe turn it upside down and fill with cement?
