If they push Spotify Connect onto the BS5 as a fix I would be very happy with that.

Well. That would be awesome but we probably have to continue dreaming here Sad

I still have Spotify installed on the BM5 and can use the Spotify Connect when using A.AUX. Behringer and Chromecast is probably a better way.

both Spotify Connect and Apple Airplay can be distributed via BeoMusic App to other BeoLink Multi-Room zones.

Spotify Connect however only to rooms/zones, where a Spotify Connect enabled B&O device is at work.

After I removed "Follow" some chart lists, removed my account, added the account and restarted the system, the playlists are back again.

I again tried to follow i.e. Australia Top 50 whereafter the Playlists could not load. So, remove the follow, removed account, add account, and all is good again.

I will say as Jef, search in BS5 is not great, but to organise your music into, in my example, Folders and Subfolders, with all favourite artists and albums, gives a great little machine and to operate using the wheels works great. Organising is best done via a computer, no doubt here.

I do also have Playlists with i.e. my Top 10 Jazz/Funk or Rock albums that I can listen to, and that works perfect for me.

And for my Australia Top 50, well, only solution for now is to copy the songs manually to a playlist called Australia Top 50 instead of following, however, I can live with that little cumbersome task :-)

Time to change the title of this thread to:

'Spotify now DIS-integrated into.....'

As of today the Spotify app on my V1 is gone.

I wonder if integrating Spotify Connect could be possible, or if the hardware does not allow for it?

Bad news: There was a newsletter last week to all dealers. Spotify will removed from all b&o products till may 2017. (i think the spotify connect feature will be remain because b&o recommends to buy a beosound mk2 essence to hoop up to the beosound5 with a usb-Behringer UCA222. (info from beo”care”)

BS Ouverture, BS 9000, AV 9000, Avant 32 DVD, BV9, BV6-22, BS 5, BS 4500, BS 7000, BC 9500, Beo6, BL Penta, F1000, BLGW, etc....
