hi

i have a beolab 1700 which has ben in a cupboard for years. I got it out recently to see if it worked and it did not. wonder why it was in the cupboard.

the power light does not come on and no sound comes out. i opened it and probed around a bit. there is power coming out of the transformer. Any components on the board which I could tell were doubles for left/right had the same voltage across them. There is power going to the power light so i guess that is bust.

does anyone have any ideas where I should seek out the problem? Are there any known issues with these?

I would love to get it running as I also found a  pair of B+W DM1s which i think will sound great with the bl1700.

any pointers greatly appreciated.
