I received as birthday present a Beoplay H6, excellent sound, however, contrary of my son, I am not an Apple's fan.
Here starts the problem, my mobile is a Nokia with windows phone and apparently the remote control of headphone works only with apple products.
It is clear that the problem is only linked the the wiring schema and considering that the cable can be removed maybe there is an alternative to have my headphone working with Iphone and Windows Phone or Android ?
Thank
Alfio
The iPhone uses the CTIA / AHJ standard for the headset plug, so you need to check if the Nokia (which model?) supports it, too.According to wikipedia the newer Nokia handsets support the CTIA standard, too.If not: Than you'll need an OMTP to CTIA adapter cable to make the headset work with all functions. Here in German they are very cheap to get.
Another alternative solution would be the use of a Bluetooth headset connector like the Sony MW1 or Sonyericsson MW600i where you plug in your headphones and the Bluetoothdevice controls your phone (play, pause, vol up, down, accept call etc.)The next question is if windows phone does support the remote controll functions of the headset?! I can't answer the second question because I don't have a Windows phone smartphone.
Thanks for the information.
my mobile ( Nokia 920) has an headset with similar functions (vol +/- and play/pause).
I will investigate on which standard is used by NOKIA, but for sure the connector is exactly the same and for what concerns the sound the headset works fine.
All the trouble are the Microphone and the remote control. Maybe B&O could provide the H6 Headset with another set of cable for the other standards
The usage of bluetooth does not me make particularly happy, but definitely it would be an option.

According to the Nokia website your 920 should suppor the AHJ and OMTP standard:http://www.nokia.com/us-en/support/faq/?action=singleTopic&topic=FA139442Here's a picture of the pinout:

Thanks,
I made another test and actually I was able to have also the microphone working.
The only element not working is the remote control (volume up or down, Telephone answer, pause)
