I don't know how many of us Beoworlders are taking up the offer by one of our sponsors, LuxusSound? Namely, half price Beotime alarm clocks at 165€ rather than 330€ for today only, but I certainly have!

If you register first by opening an account, you also get an extra 5% discount!  Great value.  The online sales page and all info from LuxusSound is really clear and well put together.  Shipping to France from Germany is only 9.90€.

I have no affiliation with LuxusSound but just wanted to share this offer for those who may have missed it, or like me, was looking for a Beotime but not at the full cost.

Many thanks to them for sponsoring the site and their offer.

Dave

Hi

Thanks for this information and welcome to LuxusSound !

I bought 2 beotime (one for me and one for a friend).

I don't know what guarantee I have with LuxusSound, I have to verify.

Best regards

Hi Olivier,

as far as I can see, as 'official' B&O partners, we receive the usual B&O guarantee as from any seller. LuxusSound are verified and trusted sellers and I'm sure they wouldn't want any negative feedback or experiences as new sponsors of this site.

Jonathan, I'm sure a fellow member would be prepared to buy one on your behalf and have it shipped to Aus.  I don't know how economical this would be though?

My main worry is someone buying lots and selling them on for profit.

Dave.

I should be on commission!

It is a good offer.  I wonder how many orders they will take?

Jonathan,

have you asked them?  It says on their website that to check on prices for shipping outside of the EU to contact them at: shop@LuxusSound.com. Someone from Thailand has just ordered one so I don't see the problem with AUS.  It's worth an e-mail.

I've ordered one too, maybe we could hold a Beotime convention. One slight disappointment I notice the one we have at work does change from British summer to winter time automatically.

we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.

I got a response:

Dear sir,

we are not allowed to sell outside the EU. Shipping to Australia is not possible - sorry

Hi Bv7Mk3,

I'd contact them and ask why not.  I suspect if there was a legitimate problem, as you tried to order on the offer day they would still honour the price.  I used Paypal with no problems.  What payment method did you try? Others in the UK have had no problems.

Jonathan,

I don't know why they have said that as it clearly says for shipping outside of the EU to contact them. If they can't ship outside of the EU then it should say so clearly on their website.  I may drop them an e-mail to see what the issues are.

Dave.

I have just e-mailed them thanking them for the offer but asking them to honour Bv7Mk3's attempted purchase and to ask for clarification regarding shipping for Jonathan.  I'll let you know what they say.

Dave.

After midnight in Germany???

I would guess that any attempt to pay after 2300 GMT  would be after 31st Oct in Germany and after the offer had expired.

The price on their website is still 165€ so it didn't finish at midnight last night.  Get in there quick before it finishes!

Hi guys,

I ordered one an hour ago. On my iPad website it was a small hint that the offer was prolonged, but it didn´t say how long. If there is any without one, let me know. Transport to AUS is from € 15,90 on, not secured, cannot be tracked. Secured it will be € 48,00, both prices to be checked for confirmation.

Kind regards,

Rolf

OK, the state of play is now that apparently there were some banking problems yesterday which could have affected some attempted payments.  Due to this, Alexander at LuxusSound has confirmed to me in response to a message I sent them that the offer is to be extended until Monday!

He also confirmed that due to a change in legislation, they cannot now sell/ship to Australia.  He's very sorry about it but it's out of his control.

If Rolf can liaise with Jonathan, maybe between you by PM, Jonatahn may get his Beotime.

I think it's a great gesture from LuxusSound to extend this offer which I hope we can all appreciate as it must be costing them a fortune.

Dave.

I just received mine. I'm very happy with it! I always liked the product, but not enough to buy it at the regular price. I hope the deal left some profit to LuxusSound as well.

New users such as myself might want to read Steve's post about the hidden features... and the full user manual. I couldn't figure out how to turn sources ON without it Big Smile
