Beomedia IR or ML?

Hi,

I have just picked up a Beomedia and connected it via scart to my BV740 MKII, I don’t currently use the masterlink connection on the TV for anything.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to connect the Beomedia to the TV via masterlink to take control via a BEO4 or if I need to purchase an IR receiver? If ML, would I need to configure anything specific to make it work?

Thanks for the reply hfat, I can't see the option for av5, I have a mark II bv7-40.

Do you know if it is possible to control the Beomedia using a BEO4 if I connect a master link cable between the Beomedia and the TV or if I need to buy an IR eye?

Should work with ML.

Years ago I had the same setup: BM1 connected via DVI, rca, composite and of course ML to my BV7 MKII.

As far as I remember BM1 will be detected as PC, and you can select N.MUSIC and N.RADIO as audiosources without starting the screen.

The additionel video connection (composite) is for link TV use. BM1 is able to distribute two different video resolutions simultaneously.

I`m not sure, but I think you will need a N.MUSIC compatible audiomaster....(?)
